1. Create a metric

Under the Metrics tab, click the +
button located on the top right of the table.

The Create a new metric dialog will appear on screen.
- Enter metric name and formula
- (Optional) Select Unit and Category and enter a Description.
While these inputs ****are optional fields, we strongly encourage you to include them, so that other members of your organisation can gain a clearer understanding of the metric.

You can compose the metric's formula using the Opera low-code language, similar to how you would create formulas for setpoints or define smart alarms.

- Once you've completed the necessary fields, you can save the metric by clicking on the Create button on the bottom right corner of the dialog.
2. Edit a metric
2.1 Quick edit in Metrics tab
- Click on the desired table cell to edit information. The metric type column is the only uneditable input.
- Click outside of the table to save the modification.
